"'Not Even the Devil Could Read This'; Rethinking Florida's Colonial History in the Digital Age." Learn about a new USFSP initiative to create an interactive digital archive dedicated to Florida’s rich and diverse colonial past. The project, entitled “La Florida: The Interactive Digital Archive of the Americas,” will launch in late 2017. Dr. Francis will discuss the project’s initial phase and its long-term plan to create an interactive database that will make Florida’s colonial history accessible to a global audience. Dr. Francis is Chair of the Department of History and Politics and the Hough Family Chair of Florida Studies in the Florida Studies Program at University of South Florida, St. Petersburg
