Local Auto Repair Shop Helps Food Pantries in Crisis

Giving Free Oil Changes to People Who Donate Food

Merritt Island, Fla. – Realizing that local food pantries were in a crisis mood, Inmon Automotive Services, has stepped up to help solve the crisis.

From today through Sept. 28th, if people bring a brown paper grocery bag full of non-perishable groceries to the shop, Inmon Automotive we will give them a free oil change.

“When I saw the article in Florida Today, I was moved, and said to my wife, Terry, that we needed to do something quickly,” said Ivan Inmon, owner of the Brevard County repair shop that has served the county since 1959.

Inmon will be donating all food to the Sharing Center of Brevard.

“We already know we have the best customers,” said JP Snead, General Manager of Inmon Automotive Services. “And we already know how Merritt Islanders care about their community.  So, we thought this was a great way to give back to those less fortunate immediately.”

To get a free oil change, people should bring the brown paper grocery bag full of non-perishable groceries to the auto repair shop, located at 55 N. Tropical Trail, Merritt Island, Fla. You can make an appointment at inmonauto.com or by calling 321-684-4017.
