Brevard Schools Foundation
- NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS
Established, in 1987, the Brevard Schools Foundation is a direct-support, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which matches community resources with the needs of schools. Support may be in the form of financial contributions or in-kind gifts of goods or services.
New -- The Supply Zone for Teachers -- This is a new program developed to better serve the educational needs of children in Brevard Public Schools by establishing a means to provide free basic supplies to teachers for use in classrooms. This will reduce out-of-pocket costs to teachers and ultimately impact teaching quality and academic achievement of low-performing students. The Supply Zone is located at 1225 Clearlake Road, Cocoa, FL 32922.
Take Stock in Children -- A comprehensive drop-out prevention program that helps at-risk, low-income middle and high school students stay in school, earn a high school diploma, graduate from college and enter the workforce.
Back to School Supply Drive -- With the help of local businesses, in 2014 school supplies were collected and distributed to nearly 1,400 children in need in our public schools through the annual Back to School Supply Giveaway Event.
Space Week -- Each year the Foundation introduces nearly 5,500 sixth grade students to science, space and space exploration through classroom learning designed around STEM education, and a full day study trip to Kennedy Space Center.
Other services of the Brevard Schools Foundation include classroom grants, scholarships, recognition awards, and more.
